The Resolution Arts Building was designed specifically for our mediation practice. When we opened our private mediation business in 1997, we wanted to create a comfortable climate, knowing how stressful dispute can be. We decided to locate in mid-town Sacramento, a charming, eclectic neighborhood characterized by friendly streets, lots of trees and architecture with character.
We found an older Victorian building, and designed its renovation into a mediation center with all the modern comforts. The renovation included raising the original building, constructing a five-conference room space on the first floor, and then lowering the original building back on top of the new construction. It was a remarkable experience.
The Resolution Arts Building is intended to be a contrast from threatening courtrooms and stark commercial office spaces. We encourage parties to step outside if they need to relieve stress for a walk to nearby lunch spots, or down the block to historic Sutter's Fort, or to peruse the local storefronts. Mediations here are intended to be as "user-friendly" as humanly possible.
